Immune Support & Post Covid Syndrome (PCS)

Several years into our shared global experience with COVID-19, we have learned about a particularly undesirable response to contracting the virus, a syndrome called by many names and known to many as “Long-Haul Covid”. Roughly 7.5% of adults within the United States have so-called “long-haul” COVID-19 symptoms, which are defined as “long-haul” once these symptoms last longer than 3 months.

With so much research yet to be conducted on this little-understood condition, there are no defined medicines, treatments or individual therapies one can take to find relief. What’s more, the condition typically affects many organs, so many doctors are required to take a multidisciplinary approach, and most of which are limited to focusing on the symptoms and not the root cause.

As of June 2022, a study on a 50-year old female, diagnosed with long-haul covid symptoms ranging from fatigue to chest pressure and palpitations, revealed that after only 7 sessions of Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, she was able to finally get back to her normal life. Acupuncture is known to speed the healing power, reduce inflammation and boost more immune cells, all of which directly helps to prevent and recover from a compromised immune system. Especially in the case of people suffering from long-haul covid, acupuncture offers a holistic approach that is now a welcomed PCS, or long-haul covid therapy, within the multidisciplinary approach to help boost the immune system and provide pain relief.
